Certifications
ASE Entry-Level T2: Diesel Engines
This certification focuses on the fundamentals of diesel engines. It includes engine components, how diesel systems work, routine service procedures, and an introduction to engine performance and diagnostics.
ASE Entry-Level T6: Electrical/Electronic Systems
This certification provides an introduction to truck electrical systems. Topics include batteries, starting and charging systems, wiring diagrams, and basic troubleshooting using diagnostic tools.
ASE Entry-Level T4: Brakes
This certification focuses on air and hydraulic brake systems used in trucks. It includes how brake components work, how to inspect and maintain them, and important safety practices when working with brake systems.
ASE Entry-Level T5: Suspension and Steering
This certification covers truck steering and suspension systems, including shock absorbers, leaf springs, tie rods, and alignment basics. It also includes how to inspect and service these systems safely.
ASE Entry-Level T8: Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI)
This certification focuses on routine truck inspections. It teaches how to check vital systems like brakes, tires, lights, fluids, and more to ensure a vehicle is safe and road-ready.

DIM0101 – Diesel Engine Mechanic/Technician Helper (150 hours)
This course teaches the basics you need for an entry-level job working with diesel engines. You'll learn about engine parts, how engines work, how to use special tools, and the role of engine oil and diesel fuel. The course also covers safety, how to avoid accidents, basic math for the job, job readiness skills, and starting your own business.
DIM0102 – Diesel Electrical and Electronics Technician (300 hours)
This section teaches how diesel electrical systems work. You'll learn how to find and fix problems in basic electrical circuits, understand batteries, alternators, and starters, and read wiring diagrams. It also includes lighting systems and basic DC electrical theory. Safety around electricity is a big focus.
DIM0103 – Diesel Engine Preventative Maintenance Technician (150 hours)
This section covers basic maintenance skills for diesel engines. You'll learn how to check and take care of the engine and its parts, including the cab, hood, electrical systems, frame, and chassis. The course focuses on following safety rules and manufacturer-recommended procedures.
DIM0104 – Diesel Engine Technician (300 hours)
This section teaches how to repair and rebuild heavy-duty truck engines. You'll learn how to diagnose and fix problems in the engine and related systems like the cylinder head, valve train, oil system, cooling system, air intake and exhaust, fuel system, and brakes. Safety and following the manufacturer's steps are very important in this course.
DIM0130 – Diesel Brakes/Fluid Technician (300 hours)
This section focuses on how diesel truck brake systems work. You'll learn about the parts of hydraulic brake systems and how to inspect, service, repair, and adjust them. The course highlights safety and using the correct procedures recommended by manufacturers.
DIM0107 – Diesel Steering and Suspension Technician (150 hours)
This course teaches how to maintain and fix the steering and suspension systems of heavy-duty trucks. You'll learn how to service wheels, bearings, seals, and align tires. It also covers maintenance for both tractors and trailers. Special focus is given to following the manufacturer's alignment procedures.
DIM0106 – Diesel Heating and Air Conditioning Technician (150 hours)
This part of our program teaches how to work on truck heating and air conditioning systems. You'll learn how to check how well the A/C works, how to safely discharge and recharge it, and how the cab’s heating system works. Safety around A/C systems and refrigerants is strongly emphasized.
